Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and bonkurei (“bonkurei”, “we”, “us”, “our”) covering your use of the website at bonkurei.com, including the One Piece TCG statistics pages at /optcg (the “Site”). By using the Site you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy at /privacy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Site you confirm that you meet that requirement and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms.

2. What bonkurei is

bonkurei is an unofficial fan project: a public, read-only site that publishes One Piece TCG statistics aggregated from public sources. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bandai, Shueisha, Toei Animation, TCGplayer, or any other rights holder or data source named on the Site.

What we publish is simulator data, not official tournament results. The /about page explains in full where every figure comes from and how often it is refreshed.

3. No accounts, and no charge

There is nothing to register for and nothing to pay. The Site is free, it holds no accounts, and it asks you for nothing beyond what the Privacy Policy describes. If we ever add a feature that needs either, that feature will arrive with its own terms and you will see them before they apply to you.

4. Acceptable use

The Site exists to be read, linked to, and quoted with credit. You agree not to use it to break the law or anyone’s rights; not to scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Site or the API behind it, or to republish its content wholesale as your own; not to present what you take from it as official data or as endorsed by any rights holder; not to interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Site or the systems behind it, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to them; and not to circumvent any rate limit, access control, or other technical restriction we apply.

Ordinary human use — reading pages, linking to them, quoting a figure with a credit — is welcome and always will be.

5. The data is not official, and it is not advice

Every statistic on the Site is derived from publicly available One Piece TCG simulator data, and every price is a TCGplayer market price. Source data can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong; our mirror can lag or fail; and a win rate produced by a simulator does not tell you what will happen at a real tournament.

Prices shown are informational estimates, not offers, appraisals, or valuations, and nothing on the Site is financial or investment advice. Verify anything you intend to act on — especially anything involving money — against the original source first.

6. Third-party data, images, and intellectual property

One Piece, the One Piece Card Game, and the associated names, logos, characters, and card artwork are the property of their respective owners, including Bandai, Shueisha, and Toei Animation. Card images shown on the Site are served from TCGplayer’s content delivery network and are not hosted by us. Simulator statistics come from public simulator data and price data comes from TCGplayer, and both remain theirs. We claim ownership of none of it.

If you hold rights in something shown here and want it removed, write to hello@bonkurei.com. We take those requests seriously and act on them: this is a fan project, not a business built on someone else’s work.

7. Our own content, and your license to use the Site

The Site itself — its design, its code, its written copy, and the way the data is organized and presented — is ours. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes under these Terms. That license does not include copying the Site, building a competing service out of its content, or using our name to suggest that we endorse you.

8. Links and third-party services

The Site links to and depends on services we do not control, including TCGplayer and our hosting and monitoring providers. We are not responsible for their content, their availability, or their practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Availability and changes to the Site

The Site is a free project and may be slow, incomplete, interrupted, or unavailable. We may add, change, or remove pages, statistics, and features at any time, and we may stop publishing any part of the Site — including all of /optcg — without notice, for instance if a data source asks us to.

10. Restricting access

We may block, rate-limit, or otherwise restrict traffic that abuses the Site, threatens its stability or security, or breaks these Terms. Because there are no accounts, that operates at the network level rather than against a person. The parts of these Terms meant to outlive your use of the Site — the disclaimers, the limitation of liability, the indemnity, and the governing-law section — survive.

11. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND EVERYTHING ON IT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY STATISTIC, DECKLIST, OR PRICE ON IT IS ACCURATE, CURRENT, OR COMPLETE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BONKUREI AND ANYONE WORKING ON IT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSSES ON CARD PURCHASES, SALES, OR TRADES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANYTHING PUBLISHED ON IT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, WHICH ON A FREE SITE IS ZERO, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS, SO PARTS OF THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless bonkurei and anyone working on it from any claim, liability, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or any third-party right.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

Disputes are settled in those courts. These Terms contain no arbitration clause and no class-action waiver — neither of us gives up the right to have a court hear the matter.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page changes, and a material change is described here rather than slipped in quietly. Continuing to use the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
